Picea omorika – Serbian Spruce

Height: 40-60’     

Spread: 15-25’ (narrow pyramidal, slightly drooping branches)     

Hardiness: Zones 4-7  

Growth Rate: Medium but gets slower with age.     

Foliage: dark blue-green above with white lines below  

Preferred Soil: ph 5.5-7.5, well-drained acid or lightly alkaline, good adaptability but likes low humidity and can tolerate partial shade.       

Common Ailments: May require some winter wind protection.      

Attributes: A gracefully weeping narrow tree with fine foliage and is often used as a hedge plant or as a fine specimen.
